Based on the tested data, compares the performances of the hybrid air conditioning systems with the desiccant wheels respectively coated with silica gel and LiCl with those of the compression-type air conditioning system. The results show that the hybrid air conditioning system consumes less electricity energy than the vapor compression air conditioning system by 25.6% to 35.4%, and reduces the area of evaporator by 11.1% to 15.6% and the area of condenser by 15.4% to 21.4% when the desiccant wheels dealing with latent heat load.
